The impact on Ventura Real Estate and our local economy will be heavily impacted if some of the upcoming proposed measures are implemented. Your participation and input quashed the point on sale inspection proposed by some myopic people in the last year.
Red Alert for Ventura Property Owners!
If you can attend this meeting, please do. It is so important to be present to get their questions answered and most important for them to know the impact that their decisions have on the ability to sell or buy Real Estate. It would be very compelling if we all showed up to voice our opinion.
Your input on Code Enforcement policies is requested by the City Council and The Ventura Safe Housing Collaborative (VSHC.) The VSHC is to present recommendations along with the City Staff to the City Council in November.
Do you have answers to any of these questions?
If there are fewer rentals, would rents become unaffordable? Would Grandfathering older properties raise real estate values? Can a property's past be Grandfathered if you're safe? Would Grandfathering make selling easier? Could Grandfathering regulate occupancy on second units? Do we need an amnesty program and fee waivers in this economy? Do we need fewer codes? More codes? Which ones? Does the city's policy of turning properties over to the county for the path to foreclosure have a negative impact on property values city-wide? Should Code Enforcement inspections be mandatory for all Rentals and Resales? Are you afraid to apply for a permit for fear discovery of past improvements?
Your input from these two meetings can have an important impact on the price of homes and rentals in Ventura. Your voice and presence is imperative!
